Recently on 28/04/2022 the NSS units of the College organised one Awareness Programme on Tobacco Control Under the Guidance of District Tobacco Control Cell (Paschim Medinipur), Dept. of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal and with active participation from the Students’ Union, Gourav Guin Memorial College. The programme was graced by the Hon'ble President of the College Prof. Anjana Mahata.  

NSS Units of Gourav Guin Memorial College duly observed World Environment Day on 05/06/2022. On this occasion one webinar with the topic ‘Only One Erath’ was organized. Prof. Anjana Mahata, the Hon’ble President of the College graced the occasion as the Chief Patron. Dr. Anupam Parua, Principal of the College inaugurated the webinar and delivered the welcome address. The webinar started with the inaugural song by Sri Saroj De, staff member of the College. Prof. Prosenjit Dawn, Assistant Professor in Zoology, Shyampur Siddheswari Mahavidyalaya acted as the Resource Person and he delivered one valued lecture on the topic ‘Only one Earth’. The entire programme was under the leadership of Dr. Sristidhar Bera, the NSS PO. Prof. Tinku Kumar Ghorai extended the vote of thanks. The programme was attended by nearly 80 participants. It was grand success with the active involvement and management by Prof. Tinku Kumar Ghorai as Convenor, Dr. tapan Hazra as Joint Convenor, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Paul as Joint Organising Secretary and Prof. Sk Parvej Hossein, Dr. Akbar ali Shah, Dr. Suvapriya Chatterjee, Mr. Saroj De, Mr. Kartik Sarkar and Mr. Bishwanath Majhi as members of Organizing Committee.

International Yoga Day was observed in the College in a befitting manner of 21st of June, 2022. A good number of students, teachers and staff members participated and performed various yoga on this ocassion. The whole programme was supervised by NSS Po, Prof. Sristidhar Bera.
